I’ve realized something. I think I’ve spent too much time talking about Epcot (I mean, I don’t think so, I could talk about Epcot all day – but would you really want to sit and listen to that…maybe) So let’s hop on over to Hollywood Studios and pay it some love. Its not like EVERYONE hasn’t been talking about Hollywood Studios (more specifically, Toy Story Land) for the past few months or anything…
So let’s discuss the quick service options in Hollywood Studios, shall we? I find today’s selection rather interesting, because I would think of ending my evening here before Fantasmic! Maybe I’m a little OCD and I need to talk about locations in the order I see them – you should see how I handle other people in my travel party when they DON’T go in order, especially in World Showcase… I’m internally screaming.
With that being said, entering the park you walk right into Grand Avenue. Grand Avenue showcases only one quick service location, PizzeRizzo (formally Pizza Planet). You know what Pizzerizzo reminds me of… have you ever seen “The Muppets Take Manhattan”? In my opinion, the GREATEST MUPPET MOVIE and of course takes place in NYC. Remember how Rizzo and his friends worked in the diner? Even though it wasn’t specifically a pizza place, the outdoor sign reminds me of a NYC pizza place and just go with it ok… What I also love about this restaurant is that the upstairs is a banquet hall like something out of “The Wedding Singer”. I live in Northeast Ohio, and these banquet halls are EVERYWHERE. Everyone has their wedding, graduation party, etc. at these places and I kind of feel like I’m home? Just me? I’m not alone here I know it.
Honesty hour, Via Napoli in Epcot has better pizza. Pizza in central Florida is not the world’s greatest pizza. HOWEVER, this place is perfect for a family because there is something for everyone – and who doesn’t like pizza even if its mediocre at best. Also, they have adult beverages (for example, the Italian Margarita – very similar to Epcot’s Italian Margarita with Limoncello and Tequila) to help you wind down after dealing with your children’s needs all day. You really can’t go wrong here. You can choose from 4 different types of pizza (Meat Lovers, Pepperoni, Veggie, and plain cheese) which come with pasta salad. The Antipasto Salad is also a great option as well as a Meatball sub. Keep in mind, they also have a solid allergy menu (i.e. gluten free, egg free).
So make sure you order a cannoli before you leave and enjoy the sights and sounds of Grand Avenue… can you take one to go? I would want to eat mine during Fantasmic, but that’s just me.
